We’re doing a happy dance over here at Smart Money Mamas because it’s that time of year again! Our annual online summit, Mamas Talk Money, starts October 12th. This is our five day virtual conference packed with over 40 unbelievable financial experts who are also amazing mamas. Today, we’re giving you a sneak peak of some of the speakers, resources, and over $10,000 in giveaways we have planned for YOU, mama!
The best part? It’s free to attend. So grab your kids (they’re invited this year, too!), tell your mama friends, and go grab your free ticket to the summit – because registration is officially OPEN!
You might think you don’t have time for one more commitment this time of year – we get it! That’s why I’m sharing seven reasons why you simply cannot afford to miss Mamas Talk Money this year.
How does credit work? How do you open a bank account? How much do you need to save for retirement? What does investing look like? All the financial information out there is SO black and white.
The issue is that money is emotional and unique to each of us. There’s no magic bullet or one-size-fits-all formula that once applied, makes us all wealthy! What works for me and my family may not work for you and your family. All the speakers at Mamas Talk Money understand this.
So while we will absolutely be teaching the nuts and bolts of financial literacy, we’re also going to help you make it all make sense to you and your family. Mindset and values are key components to your success, and we will cover all of that at the summit.
The moment you become a mom, the way you look at your life dramatically changes. We’re worried about balancing things like giving our kids experiences while they’re young and building security for their future. We’re trying to balance the need to develop our own personal passions and drive with the desire to be a really involved and present mother.
We have to navigate the financial gaps that exist between men and women and those that exist between moms and non-moms. In the child-rearing years, moms often go part-time or step out of the workforce altogether. And the real trust is that we as a society don’t monetarily value the unpaid labor that is done predominantly by women as we take care of our families.
The speakers at the Mamas Talk Money Summit understand these challenges. They will be able to share the creative approaches they took to navigate motherhood and stay in control of their financial lives.
Our money stories and money mindsets are passed down from our parents and we naturally teach them to our kids. We have to step in and start talking about money, but we can’t empower our kids if we haven’t identified what we struggle with first. The entire first day of the summit is all about having a thriving mindset. We have to nail down this piece if we’re going to empower the next generation.
We’ll cover things like healing your money story, financial anxiety, and ditching the narrative of what you’re “supposed to do” as high achieving perfectionists. Then on Thursday, we’re going to have a whole day on legacy that will cover topics like encouraging kids to use their money to impact their world in a better way.
We have a session just for kids ages 8-14 and activities and games for all kids to participate in throughout the week. We’re doing this because when moms thrive with money, they think forward and build generational wealth!
202 has been a very lonely year. But even before this year, we hear from so many moms that are convinced they are the only ones who are struggling with money, career decisions, or motherhood.
Some of this has to do with our own self-criticism and frustration with our inability to be the perfect mom. But some of this loneliness stems from how harshly we judge one another as moms.
Not at Mamas Talk Money.
Whether it’s the chat during a live session or in the Facebook community, you’re going to find mamas who are honest, truthful, and encouraging. At Mamas Talk Money, moms connect to share goals and strategies and all the ways they’ve been impacted by the speakers.
You, your family, and your story matter. We need to support each other to make the big breakthroughs and connections we’re craving.
